patient & public involvement

Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) is an integral component of the advice given to those approaching RDS WM. Support is given on an individual level, ensuring that researchers adopt good PPI practice that is relevant and aligned with the expectations of funding bodies.

RDS WM has, and signposts to, many information resources.  Our database of charities, groups and individuals, all of whom are willing to get involved in health and social care research is continually being updated and provides a key resource for researchers looking for support.

RDS WM has a Public Involvement Fund to facilitate involvement of patients and the public in designing and developing a research proposal. This fund has the potential to be very meaningful for researchers and patients and the public and the feedback so far has been excellent.
