Alzheimer’s Disease Data Initiative: William H. Gates, Sr. Fellowship

  Sunday, 11 Jun 2023 | Funding Deadline

The AD Data Initiative invites you to apply for our two-year fellowship program, named in honour of the life and legacy of William H. Gates, Sr., who passed away from Alzheimer’s disease in 2020. They are looking for fellows from diverse backgrounds – early-to-mid career neuroscientists, data scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and programmers to advance the Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia field with an innovative data analysis idea or statistical approach using existing human or human-derived anonymized data.

Approximately five fellows will be selected for the two-year program to explore data from human studies and make new discoveries in the Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) field. For the inaugural (Year 1) cohort, they are seeking applicants who preferably have a doctoral degree relevant to this program and approximately five to ten years of relevant work experience after receiving their highest degree. They should have expertise in computational, machine learning, statistical, or other data science methods, and a demonstrated interest in brain research, neuroscience, or other relevant fields.

Deadline for proposals: 11 June 2023
