NIHR Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Programme-new commissioned calls

  Wednesday, 24 May 2023 | Funding Deadline

The Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Programme funds research about the clinical and cost-effectiveness, and broader impact of healthcare treatments and tests, for those who plan, provide or receive care from NHS, and social care services.

Acceleration Award – adaptation and assessment of digital technologies for social care (deadline: 26 July 2023)
The Health Technology Assessment Programme is accepting straight-to-stage 2 applications to their commissioned workstream, for this primary research topic. There is growing interest in the potential of digital technologies to support and improve the delivery of social care in the UK, with many local authorities exploring and investing in digital solutions. The Programme recognises that developing applications for funding to assess digital technology interventions in social care will be challenging. It is expected that multiple and varied individuals and organisations will need to contribute to the design and conduct of the technology assessment, including local authorities and relevant third sector organisations, people accessing social care services, social care practitioners, academic researchers within relevant health and social care specialities, methodologists, statisticians and economists.
