Potential advert: Children's Holistic Exposure to Advertising of Food and Drink High in Fat, Sugar and Salt

The NIHR funds policy research to enable evidence informed policy making in health and social care. The NIHR Policy Research Programme plans to invite proposals for a research project to capture the totality of children’s exposure to advertising of food and drinks high in fat, sugar and salt (HFSS) from all types of media during the course of the day.

This research will form a baseline of exposure for a post-implementation review following a regulatory policy to introduce a 9pm TV watershed for HFSS products and a restriction of paid-for HFSS advertising online.
